Research The DKFZ-ZMBH-Alliance

Research at the DKFZ-ZMBH-Alliance aims to investigate molecular mechanisms of fundamental processes of life and their biomedical importance, especially for tumor diseases. Its research objectives are pursued in three research programs, covering molecules, cells and entire organisms.

  1. Structure, Function and Regulation of Biomolecules
  2. Organization and Differentiation of Cells and Stem Cells
  3. Development and Regeneration, Degeneration, Aging and Cancer

The concept of the Alliance creates the necessary environment by, for instance, the establishment of interdisciplinary research focuses and the provision of a wide range of scientific-technical and administrative service facilities as well as a communicative and stimulating atmosphere.
